Plugged it in; nuthin. Jiggled connection, removed, replaced, different USB port / computer, etc. Nada.
"Hmmm," says little voice in head, "for four bucks, maybe it just needs something resoldered inside..."
Opened the whole thing up - found few broken connections and a bunch of indifferent solder joints. I resoldered the connections from the main cable to the PC board, but the computers still didn't acknowledge it when plugged in.
The Sesame Street color palette should have been a warning that this was a toy.
Pluses:
Comes apart nicely when you remove the 10 little screws.
If it actually worked, it would be very hackable
Buy this for parts, if you must....
