First unit was recognized by the laptop hardware however would not recognize any peripheral plugged into the USB ports, even with secondary power tap connected. SIB customer support was helpful and provided an RMA# in a timely manner. Received the second unit packaged in same manner as the first unit. Unit arrived in timely manner considering turn-around time. Second unit appears to be working however, the connection for some peripherals seem to have difficulty staying latched and will drop in and out. These connections usually latch eventually and appear to work Ok. I'm not sure if I would buy this particular brand again. The service and support from SIB was good and would consider doing business with them again....
