The power cord on this unit is just next to useless. Unless you've got an outlet within half an arm's reach from where you want to place this hub, avoid it....

Comes with a power supply, although it appears it's only needed if you want the hub lit even when the computer is off. Mine works fine on just USB power with only one drive installed, and I don't want the dual blue LEDs on top lit all the time as they are very bright, like light up the room bright. Also the ports may be too close to install 4 drives simultaneously. My attitude is - the brighter the better - and I only have two thumb drives, so I'd definitely buy this hub again....

The LED lights are very bright...
A previous review I read said that
they were like a night light...
I think they are much brighter.
For me that's good....
