The disk drive won't be available to your PC if you connect its two USB plugs into this device.
Also, Memory Sticks like the SanDisk Cruzer micro 16GB are a bit too wide to be able to share this hub with more than one other attached USB cable, and that's only if you use diagonal ports on this hub.
I bought this expressly to accomodate my Seagate Docking Bay and to free up to ports on the back of my PC. I'm using it for other purposes until I get a replacement.
You can indeed attach 4 standard USB cables to this. So, most of you will probably find this device acceptable....
