Besides being compact (the very short USB cord tucks into the device), it has performed flawlessly on my Windows XP system. Only con is the fact that the ports are closely spaced (part of being compact), so wide USB connectors may prevent another port on the 4-port hub from being used....

A short wire connects the hub to the PC allowing you to easily plug 4 devices into the hub without crowding. That is 4 additional ports, not 3. For traveling, the device is small and nearly weightless. Perfect....
