The hub's cord is off to the side of the plug that connects to the computer (vs. straight out from the back of the connector) so it gets in the way of other ports, like the power port and the area where I plug in my laptop lock on my MacBook Pro. I'm returning this and getting a hub where the cord comes out of the back end of the connector so I can actually use other ports at the same time....
This review is from: Belkin F4U006-SLV 4-Port Travel USB Hub in SilverI have Dell Alienware M11X R2, which has only 3 USB ports, so if I connect a Keyboard+Mouse,XBOX PC Controller, Hard disk or my phone via USB, I'm out of USB ports if I need to connect anything else. I would certainly not suggest to connect a Hard Disk to this USB HUB, anything else like Keyboard+Mouse,XBOX PC Controller and Phone via USB are working perfectly fine and no delay in the functionality. This serves the purpose of having more ports connected to one system USB port. Just remember that a HDD write speeds will way way way delayed, so don't do that.... add any easy and less processor power driven item to the HUB....
