This review is from: Logiix 10168 Logiix USB 10 LED Red Lighti bought a new Toshiba Satellite last week...it arrived 3 days ago. it did not have a backlit keyboard, and i wanted one. i only wanted a light that had color to it as it lit up my keyboard. it took me a LONG time, but i finally found this one. in fact i think this is the ONLY brand that offers usb color lights for laptops. i bought this one (red) and i also bought the matching blue light (also on amazon).
all i can say is that it's great. sure, the keyboard doesn't light up like you have a maglight shinning down, but the 10 LED's in these are enough for you to see all of the keys and work/play around without even thinking about the fact that you are in a dark room. the only thing you have to get used to when using ANY USB light is the reflection from the bulbs in your screen. of course my screen is glossy, so the dulled screens may not have as much of a problem. anyway, it's not like i am only using this at night. i got use to the glare in a matter of moments. no problem.
i was surprised to see no one had left any reviews...so i made it my purpose to do so. if you need a light, and you want some personality, buy a logiix usb color light. it gets the job done....

Not only do the 10 LEDs spread the light over most of the keyboard, but the RED colored light is less harsh than the white LEDs other similar products use. I like the product so much I bought a second one for my Mac Pro keyboard since Apple's factory keyboards for desktops lack backlighting as well....
