This review is from: Targus ACH63US Super Mini USB 2.0 4-Port HubThis little 4 port USB hub is awesome. For it's size, it actually accomidates nearly any USB plug or device quite nicely (though there is the rare occasion where a device is simply too big to fit next to another plug or device on the same side of the hub). However, I have had several problems with the hub due to power limitations. The hub comes with a Y-style USB cable with two standard USB male connectors; one is the main/data plug (black plug) while the other is the additional power plug (red plug) for when devices draw more power than the hub can supply. In every case I've tried, the red plug has been of no use. I have two external hard drives that refuse to work at all and a portable scanner that delivers poor scans when plugged into it. This is when no other devices are plugged into the hub and the red plug is in use. Everything else works great, and even though I only give it 3 stars (for its limited utility) overall I really love it and recommend it to anyone who needs more USB ports on-the-go....

This review is from: Targus ACH63US Super Mini USB 2.0 4-Port HubRecently I have purchased this USB hub from Amazon.com. When I have looked at product image on Amazon.com, I thought it is a bulky one but I don't have any other option except to rely on the product name which says "Super Mini". After I have recieved the shipment, I am astonished to see this piece of equipment. It so small infact its perfectly "Super Mini". This is a perfect gadget for a traveller with notebook having less number of USB ports. By the Way, one more additional feature is that it can handle high power USB devices like Digital Cameras etc, without having to power them seperately....

This review is from: Targus ACH63US Super Mini USB 2.0 4-Port HubWhile it worked, I was pleased. It actually requires two slots for using powered USB components, such as an iPod, fan, or multi-picture card reader. Very compact design and works automatically with both Mac OS or XP Pro.

Unfortunately, it failed after just one week. The failure was related to data transfer. The connected devices were receiving power, but they could not communicate with my laptop. Rebooting did not solve the problem. When I connected the USB devices directly, they worked fine. It looks like the data transfer chip failed or the connector for data failed. Either way, failure after just one week of use is not good....
