This review is from: VisionTek USB 2.0 4 Port Hub Mouse Pad (900103)This product from VisionTek combines a 4-port USB hub with a mouse pad and cell phone charger, and while the idea of putting these three features into one seems appealing at first, I've quickly come to realize that I would have been better off just purchasing a USB hub individually. The mousepad surface is just a bit too slick, and I find that the mouse has a tendency to slip around each time I let go of it. As a result, I've reverted back to my old mousepad, using this new one as a USB device alone. The other problem I've had is with the blue LED backlight. While it's no problem during the day, and looks neat at night, I find that when it's time to go to bed (I'm a college student whose computer resides in my bedroom), it is much too bright. As a result, I find myself unplugging it every night, and then having to plug it back in every morning. There is no option to turn the light off without unplugging the entire thing. And finally, the cell phone charger seems rather superfluous. Cell phones come with their own charger cables, and I find myself still using the original charger, which can be plugged straight into the wall without using up one of the USB ports (and the whole point in purchasing this item was to have more ports available). So when it comes down to it, I'd advise anyone looking for a USB hub to buy just a hub alone, and skip this particular product. The additional features aren't really worth it....

The LEDs beneath the pad melted the surface the mouse goes on (which is just a thin stuck-on piece of plastic). Now there is major deformation on the surface and the pad is useless. The worst mouse pad I have ever had happened to also be the most expensive....
